Mitshubishi A6M2b Zero. Model 21.

Lt. Fusata Lida´s aircraft on board the carrier Soryu, lead ship of Carrier Div.2.
Air Superiority Command, 2nd strike unit during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Well, she is finally ready! I loved the build from start to finish and the kit literally falls together as expected from Tamiya. I was not able to complete my Zero in time during the Tamiya Group Build…oh well!

A few comments about the build:

My aim with the Zero build was to get slightly weathered look to the aircraft, not to used and abused and not in pristine shape either. I think the Japanese navy kept their carrier based aircraft in a very good condition prior to the attack on Pearl Harbour.

Parts used during the build:

Tamiya 1/32 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero Model 21.

None. Just some additional detailing here and there.

Vallejo Model Air
Alclad II

Flory Models washes
Dark wash
Concrete wash
Sand wash
Black wash.

Ok, time for final reveal photos, there are a few photos…

Edit: The detail photos are taken mostly with black back ground, however when it was time to take          photos of the whole aircraft the black cowling disappeared against the black back ground, so I          changed it to blue instead.

Thanks for looking in! Hope you like the Zero!
